The update of the water intake in Dębina is a key investment for the continuous and efficient supply of water to the residents of Poznań. Thanks to the work being carried out, which includes the removal of internal dykes and the formation of slopes, the seepage area from the infiltration ponds to the aquifer will be increased. We are also constructing a new barrage bay and intake/sedimentation chamber to enable water to be safely drawn from the River Warta. To transport the water efficiently, we will utilise two lines of underground pipelines with a diameter of 1,000 mm and a total length of approximately 850 m. These pipelines will be constructed using microtunnelling at a depth of 4-5 m.

In addition, our intake will be enhanced with a groundwater level monitoring system. By drilling a network of observation holes, equipped with automated measuring devices, we will be able to monitor the underground situation closely. To date, approximately 70,000 m³ of earth mass has already been moved, and the staging work does not interfere with the ongoing extraction of water from the intake of our customer, Aquanet SA.
